Gym Rules & Regulations

As a participant and member of Level One, there are rules and regulations that must be followed. Not doing so may result in membership termination at the discretion of the gym owner.

  1. Members must pay gym dues and drop-in fees in a timely manner. All dues must be paid by the 1st of the month no later than the 5th.

  2. As a member you are expected to respect all staff and members alike. Racial comments or slurs against anyone are a big no-no. Disrespect for anyone's race, religion, sexual preference, or gender will not fly. Failure to do so may get you banned from the gym. This is non-refundable. BE RESPECTFUL.

  3. BULLYING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

  4. Theft of anything that does not belong to you including gym equipment will not be tolerated.

  5. Please clean up after yourself and help maintain the gym. No food permitted. Drinks must have caps on them.

  6. Please practice good hygiene habits to avoid making members around you uncomfortable.

  7. Take your training seriously and come prepared to work in the proper attire. Also, the gym is not required to provide any equipment to you for use. It is required that everyone has the following: training sneakers or boxing shoes, hand wraps & gloves. For advanced students who are sparring, all of the above plus headgear, mouthpiece, and groin guard are required. The gym will have some gear that can be used if needed but recommends you have your own.

  8. Jewelry, earrings, bracelets, etc. are not permitted during training. This is a hazard to yourself and your fellow members.

  9. If at any time you feel sick or like something is wrong, please let someone know.

  10. At Level One Boxing Fitness, we pride ourselves on teaching and helping members learn the art of boxing and how to defend themselves. Fighting outside the gym in the streets or at school with no valid reason could get you suspended. Please be smart with what you learn.

  11. Classes will begin and end at the set time specified by the trainer. Please be on time for class as the trainer will not wait on anyone to begin. If you miss out, it is on you, not the trainer.

  12. Level One Boxing Fitness is a gym and not a daycare. Please be on time to get your child after class unless told otherwise by the trainer.

  13. Parents, we encourage you to be a part of your child's journey in the sport of boxing and urge you to motivate them as well. With that said, please let the trainers and coaches do what we are here to do. If you're not a coach, please don't coach the coach. If you fail to comply, you will be asked to leave until after practice.

  14. Don't force your child to train. Boxing isn't for everyone as we know this is a physical sport that can be tough at times. If your child is not comfortable or shows signs of not wanting to be here and lacks participation, please don't waste our time or yours. MEMBERSHIPS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

  15. In the near future there will be other training services that may be offered to members and non-members such as self-defense and others as they become available. These services will be an extra charge for members at a discounted rate and a full fee for non-members. You will have to sign up for these extra activities and pay upfront to reserve your spot. Failure to do so will result in missing out on the activity and if you don't show up at the trainers’ discretion you may be refunded, or payment will be held towards the next session.

  16. There will be clients from different age groups and different walks of life. With that said profanity must be monitored. Excessive profanity will not be tolerated so please be mindful of your surroundings.

  17. And last but not least. Boxing can be a very tough sport it will test you in ways you couldn't imagine and even make you feel powerless. Boxing can also be a rewarding sport and be a great confidence as well. Here at Level One, every member is like family. Help each other out push each other to become better and support each other. A little encouragement goes a long way.
